about

e•lec•tro•cach•ing |iˈlektrōka sh i ng |
noun
The aural activity of searching for and finding individual meaning by way of atmospheric sound from an electronic apparatus.
ORIGIN from electro(electronic) + cache + -ing

The components were envisioned on the longest Midwest highways, compiled in suburban Minneapolis basements, and experienced in the land of clear water. In the late winter of 2008, Sean Hogan and Taylor Nelson crept into the deepest corners of their minds and retrieved a five-track collage of sound. Electrocaching is a journey birthed through collaboration, where the living requires the assistance of the inanimate. Meaning is found at the merging of a mental state, and a musical instrument.
